Blake Offshore MODU & MOPU Fleet Intact with No Damage

Blake Offshore reports that all of their Mobile Offshore Drilling Units (MODUs) and Mobile Offshore Production Units (MOPUs) in the Gulf of Mexico are intact following Hurricane Rita. Prior to the storm, all personnel were safely evacuated and the Blake 101 was moved into protected waters. The current status is that the Blake 101 has moved back to South Timbalier 21 for Marlin Energy and has resumed operations. MOPU (|*|) 4 is working in West Cameron 44 for Chevron and MOPU (|*|)8 is working in South Timbalier 41 for Energy Partners. The company’s Metairie headquarters is temporarily relocated to New Iberia, Louisiana which is back and fully functioning from an operational and human resource standpoint.
