GCT offers barge service linking Guangzhou, Shenzhen port areas
Date: 12/7/2005
GUANGZHOU Container Terminal (GCT) has announced that its Huangpu terminal is now offering barge services between it and the Shekou and Chiwan container terminals. The new !Water-Gate Operation! linking Guangzhou and Shenzhen port areas saves shippers and shipping lines nearly US$100 per TEU, according to GCT. In addition, moving cargo between these points will also slash freight travel times by two-three days from previous arrangements.
